007 First Light is planned for Nintendo Switch 2 sometime in Summer 2026. The game is described as a unique standalone original story from IO Interactive, casting players as a young Bond: a Royal Navy air crewman recruited into MI6 whose combat instincts push him into training for the revived elite 00 section.
The third person action adventure blends IO Interactive stealth and action mechanics with Bond and MI6. Players reportedly choose how to handle obstacles through force, guile, or charm while using Q branch gadgetry on a global path from 26 year old recruit toward full 007 status. Familiar figures including M, Q, and Moneypenny appear alongside new characters such as mentor John Greenway, the mysterious Isola, and a new roster of villains.
