007 First Light is drawing fresh attention from PC players over how image scaling and anti aliasing behave on AMD Radeon hardware. Community discussion around the spy action game suggests Radeon owners across multiple price segments are struggling to stabilize frame rates and improve visual quality, with both official and third party upscaling options reportedly falling short.
Players have flagged several recurring graphics mode problems in the current PC build:
- AMD FSR shows severe flickering and artifacts even at maximum quality, despite delivering the strongest frame rate boost.
- Standard TAA anti aliasing causes a major performance drop without a clear gain in visual fidelity.
- Third party utilities such as Optiscaler, used to integrate DLSS and frame generation, may reduce anti aliasing artifacts but can cost 20 to 35 FPS and create interface instability unless resolution is lowered to 1080p.
Owners of newer cards, including models like the RX 7800 XT, also report optimization trouble. Experimental scaling modes appear to produce blurry images and reduce overall system performance. Some players have expressed disappointment with the current state of the release and are advising others to delay playthroughs until corrective patches arrive, or to consider the console versions instead.
