Performance initially held in the Iceland mission, but Bond began rubberbanding while following Moneypenny through the MI6 office. By Malta, the whole game was dragging. Graphics tweaks, including dropping settings to medium and adjusting DLSS, changed nothing. Moving the mouse or steering with the keyboard reportedly stopped the lag immediately. Controller input brought back stutter and jerky movement.

The player updated their graphics driver and retested, but the controller issue persisted while keyboard and mouse play remained smooth. Searching online turned up Microsoft forum threads from 2025, Reddit posts, and complaints on EA and Steam sites going back years. Some users have pointed to multiple instances of Microsoft's GameInput running, dying controller batteries, or Bluetooth itself. Fresh batteries and closing extra GameInput processes did not help in this case. Wiring the controller may sidestep Bluetooth, though the report cuts off before confirming that fix.
