A heartwarming video also featured Scottish fans celebrating their team by serenading a New England neighborhood with bagpipes.

Whether they took the stage before kickoff or attended purely as fans, the World Cup has drawn a wide roster of celebrity names to host city venues across North America.

Tom Cruise and David Beckham were all smiles as they waved to fans while sitting next to each other during the World Cup match played between USA and Paraguay in Los Angeles. Cruise and Beckham waved to fans as they watched USA take on Paraguay at the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

The two were later joined by David's wife, Victoria Beckham, who also enjoyed the match.

Katy Perry took to the stage ahead of the USA versus Paraguay match in Los Angeles to sing her song "Wonder" at the 2026 FIFA World Cup opening ceremony in Los Angeles. She was joined by Norwegian singer Tius, who sang on the original track.

After her performance, Perry was spotted watching the match in the stands with her boyfriend, former Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau.

Halle Berry

Halle Berry sported a pair of jeans and a flowy tank top to a private dinner hosted by Raising Cane's owner and founder, Todd Graves, at Alba in West Hollywood, following the World Cup match. Berry looked casual in a pair of jeans and a cream colored tank top while at the dinner.

Ryan Reynolds

Ryan Reynolds cheered on his home country during one of the first games of the 2026 FIFA World Cup. The actor, who is also the co owner of Wrexham, a Welsh professional soccer club was spotted cheering Canada on during their game against Bosnia and Herzegovina at Toronto Stadium. Reynolds was spotted in the crowd at the match between Canada and Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Shakira

Shakira brought the house down when she performed at the opening ceremony for the 2026 FIFA World Cup in Mexico City. The singer performed the song "Dai Dai" at the ceremony which took place before the match between Mexico and South Africa. The song is the official anthem for the World Cup this year, marking the fourth time the singer has been chosen to sing the anthem for the competition.

In the past, the anthems included her songs "Hips Don't Lie (Bamboo Mix)," "Waka Waka (This Time for Africa)" and "La La La."

Christina Aguilera and Big Sean

Big Sean and Christina Aguilera posed with their arms around each other at the private dinner hosted by Graves, following the World Cup match played between the USA and Paraguay. Aguilera and Big Sean posed together during a private dinner hosted by Raising Cane's founder and owner, Todd Graves.
