Members of the Grand Theft Auto VI community on Reddit are reportedly pushing for mechanics similar to those in Red Dead Redemption 2. In that western, players could tie up, carry, and transport living or dead characters on horseback. Fans appear to want that kind of interaction expanded in the new installment, with deeper open world possibilities in mind.

Given Grand Theft Auto VI's modern setting, social posts suggest the mechanic would likely need a vehicle-focused twist. Ideas circulating include hiding NPCs in car trunks and moving them across the map, which proponents say could add variety to missions and free roam sandbox play.

Rockstar Games has not confirmed that tie-up or transport systems will appear in the project. The official Grand Theft Auto VI release remains scheduled for November 19, 2026, with the community awaiting further gameplay demonstrations.
