Argentina and Austria meet in what could be the decisive Group J clash at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas. Both sides arrive with three points from their first group matches, and a win for either would secure first place in the group and a Round of 32 berth. Messi leveled the all time men’s World Cup scoring record at 16 goals with a hat trick against Algeria, and his next strike would put him alone at the top. Argentina enter as clear favorites for the 1 p.m. ET kickoff, though an Austrian draw could open the group wide ahead of the final matchday.

France face Iraq at 5 p.m. ET at Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia in Kylian Mbappé’s 100th cap. Mbappé sits on 14 World Cup goals, not far behind Messi’s mark. Didier Deschamps’ side opened with a 3-1 win over Senegal and are heavy favorites against Iraq, who lost their first match 4-1 to Norway and sit 57th in the rankings.

Norway and Senegal clash at 8 p.m. ET at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey, in the day’s highest stakes Group I fixture. Both nations need points with Norway facing France next and Senegal closing group play against Iraq. Erling Haaland opened his World Cup account with a brace in Norway’s last outing, while Nicolas Jackson, Sadio Mane, and Senegal look to rebound after a 3-1 defeat to France that stayed competitive for much of the match.

Group J closes at 11 p.m. ET at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, California, as Jordan and Algeria meet with zero points apiece after losses to Austria and Argentina. Jordan likely face a must win scenario with Argentina waiting in their final group match, while Algeria will want a result before their finale against Austria.
