Early review coverage appears to frame 007 First Light as the strongest Bond game released to date, with Metacritic aggregates reportedly placing it among the top 2026 releases. The campaign follows a 26 year old James Bond before he earns 00 status, recruited into a re established MI6 elite programme in what may be the franchise's first dramatized gaming origin story.
Gameplay reportedly blends Hitman style infiltration routes, bluff based guard interactions, stealth, combat, and investigation.
