Argentina secured the group win on Monday. La Albiceleste advanced to the knockout round after defeating Austria, then locked down first place in Group J when Algeria came back to defeat Jordan later on Monday.

Round of 32 Match Details

With the Group J win, Argentina will play its Round of 32 match in Miami. The opponent is not yet known, but the bracket path is set. Argentina will face the runner up from Group H.

At the moment, that matchup would land against Cape Verde, described in tournament coverage as a tournament darling. It could still be any one of the four teams in Group H, including Spain or Uruguay.

Tickets and Pricing

Limited Argentina knockout round tickets are already available. As of publication, the cheapest available tickets for Argentina's next game in Miami start at $3,791.

Limited World Cup tickets are also available on the resale market. Prices on that market will fluctuate.

2026 World Cup Group Format

The 48 competing nations are divided into 12 groups of four. Each group plays a round robin format where teams are awarded three points for a win and one point for a draw.

The top two teams in each group advance to the Round of 32 along with the eight best third place squads. Tiebreakers in the group standings will be resolved using established criteria.

Argentina's Round of 32 date, time, and Miami venue give fans a fixed target to plan around as Messi and Argentina move from the group stage into elimination play at the 2026 World Cup.
