The announcement arrived through the studio's official cover art reveal trailer, which stated that GTA 6 pre-orders will open on June 25 through digital storefronts and at other retailers. That timing puts preorder access roughly five months ahead of the game's confirmed November 19 launch date.
Add Grand Theft Auto VI to your wishlist today on the PlayStation Store or Microsoft Store to get alerted when pre-orders are live,
Rockstar said in an accompanying blog post, pointing PlayStation and Xbox players toward store wishlists for launch alerts.
The confirmation also reaffirms that Grand Theft Auto 6 will not come to PC at launch. PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X and Series S are the only platforms named for the initial release.
While fans now know when they can secure copies ahead of the November 19 debut, Rockstar has not yet announced pricing for the standard or any premium editions of GTA 6.
