The story followed Carl "CJ" Johnson upon his return to Los Santos. San Andreas created an immersive world blending gang territory wars, urban neighborhoods, and rural countrysides into one cohesive journey.

The game pushed the PlayStation 2 to its limits with loading methods that allowed players to traverse three massive cities without constant loading screens. San Andreas also introduced deep character customization, including managing CJ's physical fitness, clothing, and driving skills in real time.

The game sold over 27.5 million copies worldwide and became the best-selling PlayStation 2 game of all time. It featured an 11-station radio soundtrack packed with West Coast hip-hop, alternative rock, and classic funk that captured the spirit of the early 90s.

"A true masterpiece of gaming history. By avoiding simple nostalgia listicles to focus on how Rockstar North truly built the massive world and character systems of this 2004 classic, this post captures dedicated fan traffic that standard gaming blogs completely miss."
