GTA VI has slipped twice before landing on this date, first from a 2025 target, then from a May 26, 2026 window. The franchise has been dormant since GTA V launched in 2013, marking a thirteen year gap between mainline entries.
A base price of $80 USD appears increasingly likely based on Zelnick's language around 70 or 80 bucks, though no formal pricing announcement has been made. Rockstar Games has not confirmed a simultaneous PC release, and the studio's historical pattern suggests a gap of at least several months between console and PC availability.
Pre order details, a confirmed standard versus premium edition structure, and Game Pass or subscription platform availability remain unaddressed. Zelnick indicated marketing would begin this summer, but a second trailer has not yet appeared since the December 2023 reveal.
Fable moved its release window specifically to avoid competing with GTA VI's launch. The summer marketing window could bring a second trailer and formal pre order announcement before fall 2026, with pricing likely arriving alongside new footage.
